Training

Through a partnership with IRCAD, EGS Global provides world class training for EsophyX clinical professionals throughout the globe as part of EGS Global's comprehensive training program. EsophyX users take part in a three day learning experience that includes didactic, clinical, and classroom sessions utilizing IRACD's state of the art facility located in Strasbourg, France . This program, taught by EGS Global staff, guides physicians through the EsophyX ELF procedure and allows them to quickly move toward implementation in their own practice.

IRCAD-EITS was established in 1993 by Professor Jacques Marescaux who felt that medicine as a science was undergoing profound changes and was rapidly evolving from the industrial era into that of the information era. In this context, he created an pioneering world class private institute dedicated to improving the status of basic research against cancer (IRCAD) and developing new computer technologies in the field of medicine (EITS). Thanks to exceptional training facilities of over 8,000 m/sq, IRCAD-EITS is able to welcome over 3,000 surgeons every year from all surgical specialties.

Professor Marescaux's vision was to create a center where healthcare professionals, surgeons, physicians, researchers, engineers, and computer scientists could combine their energies in a dedicated and dynamic Institutee Recherche Contre les Cancers de l'Appareil Digestif.

Since 1994, IRCAD-EITS has made itself known as a prestigious center of excellence in the fields of basic & applied research and new surgical technologies. The reputation of IRCAD-EITS contributes to position this unique institute among the top surgical training centers in the world.
